    Jaroslav Fišer’s minimalist poster design for ’60s Soviet drama.

    Poster is in A3 format. Previously folded and slightly creased on edges. Tiny hole and black marks around the top left corner. Print lightly misaligned and bit loose in colour. Nice condition.

    Movie posters in our collection were promotional materials. Posters used on display in the cinemas across the former Czechoslovakia. They bear signs of their age.

    Jaroslav Fišer studied at the Technical University in Prague and at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design, Prague. In between 1959 – 1987 he designed 104 movie posters. His movie poster The Apple Game (Věra Chytilová) won him a Silver Hugo at Film Festival in Chicago, USA.
