Movie poster designed for Dušan Hanák’s cinematic re-take of Martin Martinček’s photographic journey across rural villages in the northern part of Slovakia. His work was banned by communist authorities, photographs of old wrinkled people were not allowed to be seen, as they weren’t reflecting party’s propaganda correctly. Courageous move by then young director, who’s poetic documentary has confronted censors with negligence and was banned very shortly after the screening.
