Children’s movie poster for the 1964 kids comedy Daddy, Buy me a Puppy. Excellent 60s poster design was created by Jan Kubíček. The design of the poster is based on the contrast of the elementary geometric patters in bold primary colours and simplified linear illustration set against the black background. The design is true to the graphic tradition of late 1950s, widely popularised after Brussels Expo exhibition in 1958.

Poster has been folded. Cinema stamps visible in the bottom part and at the back. Also some pen writing. Poster is in A3 format. Very nice condition.

Movie posters in our collection were promotional materials. Posters used on display in the cinemas across the former Czechoslovakia. They bear signs of their age.
